INFO
Prepare for an hour-long wait, and the trek out to the far part of Brooklyn...
The iconic 15-seat pizzeria is run entirely by 84-year-old, Italian-born Domenico De Marco; and since 1964, ‘Dom’ has been hand-crafting every pie sold (up to 150 a day), while his children offer support.
Their legendary cheese slices cost $5, but they’re one of the most sought-after in all of the city, and the crowds that line up around the block prove it. Consider the fresh ingredients’ as justification: flour, extra-virgin olive oil, San Marzano tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella cheese, and Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese are all flown in from Italy, and Dom- snipping basil imported from Israel, over every each and every pie.
